The Smithy Nethybridge

1. Book your holiday with us

1.1 Reservation Deposit: A deposit of 15% (subject to a minimum charge of £100.00) of the quoted rental is payable upon the initial booking.

1.2. Good Housekeeping: A deposit of £75 per week for good housekeeping will be charged.  The costs of any damage (if applicable) will be deducted from your  bond, and the remainder refunded to you within 14 days.  If the costs of any damage exceed the Good Housekeeping Bond then we reserve the right to charge for any excess. 

1.3 Reservations and payment of Rentals: Our website has a "book now" facility and we would encourage all parties to use this.  Telephone or e-mail reservations will be held as provisional reservations for 3 days and MUST be confirmed by payment of deposit immediately.  We accept payment either by cheque or by direct payment into our bank account.  All cheques must be made payable to Bruce Patrick. Sending a deposit will be deemed to be an acceptance of all the Terms and Conditions outlined herein. Should a reservation be made within six weeks of arrival, full payment must be made at the time of the initial reservation.

1.4 Payment: After a booking has been received and accepted with deposit paid, the balance of the cost of the booking plus the Good Housekeeping Deposit is due no later than six weeks prior to the Date of Arrival.  Failure to pay the balance of rent by the due date will be treated, as a cancellation.

2. General house rules

2.1 No Smoking: The Smithy is strictly NO smoking. 

2.2 Dogs: Dogs may be allowed at our discretion subject to numbers and breed.  Please contact us to discuss.

2.3 Period of Let:  The house is available for weekly lets from 3pm on a Saturday until 10 am on the day of departure being the next Saturday.

2.4 Inventory: An inventory of all the contents is kept in the house. If there are any "breakages" during the stay please make a note on the forms provided.  You will be required to pay for replacements.

2.5 Clean and tidy: The house will be cleaned before you arrive and it is expected that it will be left in decent order.

2.5 Bed Linen: We provide bed linen and towels for the house.

2.6 High Chair and Cot: A High chair and Cot can be provided but must be pre- booked prior to arrival. Bed linen is NOT provided for the cot.

3. The small print

3. 1 Cancellations:  Cancellations must be received in writing.  Where cancellations are made more than six weeks prior to the start of your holiday then this will result in the loss of the deposit.   If cancellations are made later than six weeks prior to the start of the holiday then this could result in the loss of the total rental payable for the period.  If you do cancel then we will try to re-let the house and if successful then we will refund the balance minus an administration charge of £50.

3.2 Cancellation and holiday insurance:We recommend that insurance be taken out for all bookings.   Please visit the web site of reputable brokers such as Schofields at www.travel.schofields.ltd.uk for instant quotes. 

 3.3 Restrictions on Rental:  House numbers must not be exceeded without prior permission.  The owners reserve the right to refuse rentals or terminate a rental for improper use or unacceptable behaviour. Rentals will not be accepted by anyone under 18 years old.

3. 4 Not satisfied ?: If for any reason you are not entirely happy with any aspect of your accommodation then please notify us immediately and we will endeavour to rectify the issue as soon as possible.

3.5 Liability and responsibility:  We cannot be held responsible for or accept any liability for loss, damage or injury sustained whilst in the house or its grounds.
